When hair is left on our comb or pillow, we wrinkle, as this is an unpleasant event for everyone. But how much do we know about the reasons for such an event? Let's dispel the main myths about hair loss.

It is perfectly normal for the body to lose some amount of drag every day. It is true that healthy hair grows continuously and thus replaces the old hair that falls out. In the renewal phase, 15% of the total hairline is constantly involved, so a slight hair loss does not mean the onset of baldness.

Hereditary hair loss is related only to men, women are deprived of such a problem. 80% of all causes of hair loss in women are androgenetic, that is, hereditary causes. However, do not rush to imagine bald women - their mechanism of hair loss looks different from that of men - hair becomes thinner along the straight parting from the forehead to the back of the head. Therefore, it does not come to focal baldness.

Hair loss is triggered by frequent shampooing. This is not true, during washing only those hairs fall out, which sooner or later would have fallen out anyway. Just in the bathroom or on a towel, they immediately catch the eye. Trichologists believe that it is imperative to wash your head after sports activities, while shampoo should be applied twice. Use a mild daily care product. Refusal of such a rule is fraught with the accumulation of dirt and sweat, the secretion of the sebaceous glands will weaken the roots, and this may lead to hair loss in the future.

Wearing hats (hats, baseball caps, hats) all the time will cause hair loss. This can lead to an increase in hair brittleness, but they will not begin to fall out.

The propensity for hair loss is transmitted to children exclusively through the paternal line. In fact, the genes responsible for hair loss are passed down from both parents. Cross transmission is also possible - from father to daughter and from mother to son.

The condition of the hair is affected by heavy menstruation. Hemoglobin is responsible for the growth of cells, including in the hair roots, for the delivery of oxygen to them. If this trace element is not enough, and this is exactly what is observed on critical days due to blood loss, then the hair may fall out. Iron can be replenished with the help of food sources - liver, buckwheat, kidneys, meat, pears, persimmons, spinach and, of course, apples.

The kilograms lost with any diet will inevitably lead to hair loss. Diet hair loss is only possible with a low-protein diet that consumes less than 1,000 calories per day. This is easy to explain. After all, hair is 90% composed of keratin, which is formed just from proteins. If your diet lacks it, you can forget about healthy and strong hair.

A short haircut will prevent hair loss. Short hair only appears thick compared to long and thin hair. But this effect is only optical. Hair growth and hair density have nothing to do with hair length.

If the hair falls out along with the root, then nothing will grow in this place. As long as the hair follicle, in which the hair root is located, is not damaged, as long as this place is supplied with blood circulation and nutrients, the hair will continue to grow.

Parting in one place for a long time cannot be done. Experts and stylists recommend to periodically move the parting, otherwise the hair in this place may thin out. Tight pigtails and ponytails are also harmful, their constant use will negatively affect the hair.

Do not blow-dry your hair, as this can cause hair loss. Drying your hair with a hairdryer is safe by itself, but the hot air can damage your hair. Everyday hair loss is fraught with the appearance of new, weaker hairs, in place of the lost ones.
